This is a work in progress. Each week day at my school, we ask the children a trivia question. One right answer is randomly selected to pull an item from the prize box. I will begin posting the questions, for you to use without having to do the research, as quickly as I can. The questions are age appropriate for Kindergarten (although some not so easy) through sixth grade. Please do not hesitate to contact me with suggestions.

December 22
December 22 – On this day in 1937, a tunnel opened to car and bus traffic in New York City. The tunnel is 1.5 miles long and connects New Jersey to New York under the Hudson River. This tunnel is named for the 16th president of the United States and is the end of this quote from the movie Elf, “I passed through the seven levels of the Candy Cane forest, through the sea of swirly twirly gum drops, and then I walked through…” which Tunnel?
